The central services of the University of Valladolid (UVA), supporting all areas and departments of the university, have signed an agreement with Alava Ingenieros to contract a team that includes RAMAN- AFM technologies.
With these two technologies in one system, our partner Horiba achieves TERS (Tip-Enhanced Raman Scpectroscopy) measurements, used in multiple fields, such as biology, chemistry, physicochemistry, materials, etc. Both devices work together to characterise carbon nanotubes in specific areas without destroying them, obtaining AFM tip size measurements (approx. 10nm).
Horiba is currently the manufacturer with the most developed technology in this type of technique, with more than 35 publications on the technique.
