The dealing of automation scenarios

Machine Learning is an AI technique that allows the creation of intelligent systems from data to automate processes and devices, being one of the major objectives of the industry.

The processes that can be defined for automation are problem identification to achieve it, data capture and processing, choice of AI algorithms for decision making and finally verification/validation.

There are multiple and varied scenarios to deal with in order to achieve automation. To deal with the scenario we must know how to select the best instrumentation, the sensor or set of sensors that provide us with the most discriminating information and, once the data sets are created, the selection of AI algorithms according to this scenario for decision making.

Each model of this Matrox 3D camera incorporates a set of two cameras and a laser designed to avoid occlusions in the scanning process, making it suitable for inspection of parts and surfaces of various types. The algorithms used within Matrox AltiZ generate accurate 3D data in various formats - individual profiles, depth maps and point clouds - obtained from the selection or combination of the two available sensors.
