Preditec, a company of the Alava Group dedicated to technological innovation in the sector of monitoring and predictive diagnosis of the operation of industrial machinery, has obtained the Innovative SME seal. This recognition, granted by the Secretariat of Innovation (R&D&I), which depends on the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, distinguishes small and medium-sized companies that stand out for their use and application of cutting-edge technology in business processes and activities.

Since its creation in 1994, Preditec has managed to position itself at the forefront of the predictive maintenance sector, based on predictive techniques such as vibration, thermography, ultrasound or electric motor parameters, among others. Always with the same goal: to guarantee, with its activity and its innovation in prediction, the maximum availability of its customers' machinery and equipment, at the lowest possible cost.

Among other areas, Preditec is one of the pioneering companies in cloud monitoring, facilitated by the IIoT MonoM platform. It uses technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Extended Reality and offers a digitized process management model, facilitating digital transformation.

The company is also one of the leading companies in Spain in remote predictive diagnostics.

An SME can receive the seal accrediting it as an innovator if it has received public funding in the last three years without having it revoked, or if it has demonstrated its innovative character with its own activity. Also if it has obtained the Young Innovative Enterprise (JEI) certification, according to the AENOR EA0043 specification; the Small or Micro Innovative Enterprise certification, according to the AENOR EA004 specification; or one in accordance with the UNE 166.022 standard, on R&D&I management systems.

In this case, Preditec has achieved the Innovative SME seal thanks to its participation in the PERTE of the Electric and Connected Vehicle. To this end, the company has prepared a project to provide users in the automotive industry with an Internet of Things (IoT) platform and a digital twin with which to manage the lifecycle of their data simply and efficiently. This platform can be integrated with any manufacturing process with industrial infrastructure that is capable of generating data, in order to reduce machine downtime and to prescriptively manage industrial infrastructure assets and improve manufacturing quality processes.

José Fernández-Díez, Executive Vice-President of the Álava Group, expressed his satisfaction with the award of the seal that highlights Preditec as an innovative SME, stressing that "the constant commitment to R&D in the area of prediction for industrial machinery has led Preditec to a very prominent position in the reliability engineering sector. This seal recognizes both its track record and its capacity for innovation in the service of broad sectors of the industry".
