The AC network emulator for CENER

CENER is a national Research and Technology Center dedicated to research, experimentation, development and promotion of renewable energies in Spain. It promotes the Technological Development of renewable energies, adapting to the needs and pace of companies, public bodies and institutions, combining research, development and technology transfer with the provision of technical assistance services.  

Álava Ingenieros and its partner Cinergia, have established an agreement to provide the experimental center of microgrids "Atenea", located at CENER's headquarters in Sangüesa (Navarra), with a system of regenerative high power converters to be integrated into its AC grid and to be able to develop and evolve control algorithms. It is a 435KW regenerative AC grid emulator for testing in the R&D&I environment of high power, smart grid control and energy efficiency in the field of smart grids.
